The areas affected include... Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay... Central Bay of Green Bay... Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon Bay... * At 1027 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This strong thunderstorm was located 19 miles east of Newport State Park, or 49 miles northeast of Sturgeon Bay, moving northeast at 40 mph. This strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
