MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WILLARA CROSSING FROM THURSDAY EVENING
River level rises have been observed upstream along the Paroo River (QLD) over the past few days, which may lead to minor flooding at Willara Crossing overnight Thursday into Friday.
Paroo River (NSW):
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is currently at 0.66 m and steady, just below the minor flood level (0.70 m). The Paroo River at Willara Crossing may reach the minor flood level (0.70 m) Thursday evening. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Safety Advice:
- Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
- Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
- Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
- Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
