The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) (external link) will be launching a selection exercise in August to appoint eight Resident Judges to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (HESC).
The seminar
The Judicial Office is organising a pre-application seminar that will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 21 July from 5 to 6pm.
The seminar (external link) aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up-to-date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process. As well as the JAC, you will also hear from the President of the HESC Chamber on his plans for the Chamber and a serving leadership judge on what the role entails on a day-to-day basis.
Who should attend?
Judicial office holders and practitioners from all backgrounds, including solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives, who have five years’ legal post qualification experience, are welcome to attend.
Candidates are expected to have at least 30 sitting days (at the point of application) as a judge or in a quasi-judicial capacity.
For more information, visit the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber webpage.
