The President congratulated the staff and veterans of the Vnukovo International Airport on its 85th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“You are rightly proud of the bright pages in the history of a major Russian air transport hub, and many generations of predecessors, who contributed a lot to the development of civil aviation and the heroic combat chronicle of our Motherland.
It is delightful that today the airport personnel build on the established traditions and worthily resolves the demanding professional tasks, including servicing the flights of our country’s top officials, heads of foreign states and government, arriving in Russia’s capital. You aim to upgrade the company’s infrastructure, introduce advanced technology and equipment, carry out projects that are important for the transport industry and prioritise the safety of transportation of passengers and cargo. You do your work diligently and conscientiously. Such multifaceted and in-demand work deserves most profound recognition.”
