Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers, and guests of the 12th St Petersburg International Oncology Forum White Nights 2026.
The message reads, in part:
“Every year, leading scientists, physicians, heads of medical institutions, and representatives of public and charitable organisations from Russia and abroad convene here. They discuss pressing issues related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oncological diseases, as well as the integration of advanced technologies into clinical practice.
This year’s forum is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Petrov, the founder of the Russian national scientific school of oncology. It was largely thanks to his talent and selfless dedication that the renowned National Medical Research Centre of Oncology bearing his name was established.
I am confident that your meeting will proceed in a business-like atmosphere and that its resolutions will help enhance the effectiveness of the fight against dangerous diseases.”
