River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at Meredosia. * WHEN...Until Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, City of Meredosia plugs storm sewer outlets. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Thursday was 19.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.9 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
