The President signed Executive Order On Temporary Measures Related to the Public Trading of Securities.
The Executive Order was signed in response to the unfriendly actions by the United States of America along with foreign states and international organisations, which run counter to international law and are aimed at imposing restrictive measures against citizens of the Russian Federation and Russian legal entities, in order to safeguard the national interests of the Russian Federation and in accordance with a number of federal laws.
The Executive Order specifies that the strategic joint-stock company which owns the Unified Gas Supply System (PJSC Gazprom) shall, until the end of July 2028, be exempt from the previously set requirements concerning the number of independent directors on its board of directors, without prejudice to its stock exchange listing tier.
