SMWMKX The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Lake Michigan nearshore and open waters to mid lake Wind Point WI TO Winthrop Harbor IL... * Until 845 PM CDT. * At 651 PM CDT, a gust front was located along a line extending from 23 nm west of Oak Creek to 22 nm northwest of McHenry to 36 nm northwest of Elgin, moving east at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. Has a history of producing 45 kt gusts. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The gust front is approaching the open waters.
