A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Nearshore Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Calumet Harbor... Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City... Open Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid Lake... At 1101 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm northeast of Harrison- Dever Crib to 7 nm southwest of Aurora, moving east at 10 knots. In addition, an outflow boundary was nearing the Indiana nearshore waters, and may produce wind gusts up to 30 knots as well.
