Beginning at 18:00 on Thursday, July 2, Russia launched two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and 105 attack drones, including jet-powered Shahed drones, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones. The drones were launched from Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo in Russia, and the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk.
The aerial attack was repelled by Ukraine's Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.

One Kh-59/69 missile and 21 attack drones struck targets at 16 locations. Debris from intercepted aerial targets fell at five locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still detected in Ukrainian airspace.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian forces struck 46 settlements in the Kherson region with drones and artillery over the past day, killing two people and injuring 16 others.
