* WHAT...Flooding caused from excessive rainfall. This advisory replaces the previously issued advisories. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Underpasses and low spots may remain flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 119 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - The heaviest rainfall has already fallen, but an additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst and Lombard. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
