Al-Halbousi, heading a parliamentary delegation, arrived in the Iranian capital to take part in the funeral rites for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in the February 28 U.S.-Israeli attack.
The two speakers held talks on the sidelines of the ceremonies, which drew foreign dignitaries and delegations from across the region and beyond.
No further details of the meeting were immediately released.
