Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited combat units carrying out missions to repel Russia's armed aggression in the Zaporizhzhia region, specifically in the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors.

According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi announced this on Facebook.

According to him, Russian forces are pressing ahead despite heavy losses, intensifying pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions.

Syrskyi heard reports from commanders of brigades, assault regiments, and unmanned systems units holding designated defensive positions.

The participants also discussed the supply of various types of weapons and ammunition needed to reinforce specific sectors of the defense.

"I issued the necessary orders. We also adjusted the next steps that must be implemented to improve the operational situation," the Commander-in-Chief said.

Syrskyi also highlighted the work of the Joint Fire Coordination Center, which has been operating in a coordinated and effective manner on this axis. He said the center serves as an example of how a team composed of personnel from different branches and agencies of the Defense Forces has significantly improved the effectiveness of Ukrainian fire missions and effectively paralyzed the enemy's logistics in the southern parts of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
