River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at Valley City. * WHEN...Until Wednesday evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 15.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 PM CDT Friday was 16.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
