The areas affected include... Lake Erie from Ripley to Sturgeon Point... At 629 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located 7 nm west of Ripley, or 14 nm northeast of Erie, moving east at 35 knots. Locations impacted include... Van Buren Point, Lake Erie Beach, Dunkirk, Barcelona, Ripley, and Sunset Bay.
