At 534 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Pinckneyville to 6 miles south of Ava, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Carbondale, Murphysboro, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Elkville, Ava, Tamaroa, Willisville, Grand Tower, Cutler, Dowell, Campbell Hill, Vergennes, Gorham, and St. Johns.
