Northwestern Logan County in southern West Virginia... Northwestern Boone County in central West Virginia... * Until 1015 PM EDT. * At 942 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Chapmanville, or 10 miles north of Logan, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Madison, Chapmanville, Gill, Chief Logan State Park, Spurlockville, Harts, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Danville, West Logan, Mitchell Heights, Turtle Creek, Palermo, Alkol, Mud, and Myra. This includes Route 119 between mile markers 30 and 56.
