River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at La Grange LD. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Adjacent farmland and wetlands begins flooding. Island Road across the river in western Cass County begins flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 23.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 AM CDT Sunday was 23.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.4 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
