SMWMLB The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm... * Until 445 PM EDT. * At 322 PM EDT, a broken band of strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Ormond-By-the-Sea to near Maytown, moving northeast at 15 knots. These storms will increase in coverage and intensity as they collide with the east coast sea breeze along the Volusia coast. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats, damage vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if possible. * Locations impacted include... Ormond-By-the-Sea, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Ormond Beach, and Ponce Inlet.
