Russian forces shelled the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region using Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), damaging private residential homes.
According to Ukrinform, Vadym Liakh, head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, stated this on Facebook.
"Today, July 6, at 14:50, the enemy struck the private residential sector of Sloviansk with Smerch MLRS. At least five private homes were damaged," Liakh wrote.
He added that, fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Earlier reports stated that Russian attacks across the Donetsk region wounded eight civilians on July 5.
