The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has
issued the following...
WHAT...Ozone Action Day Alert.
WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western
Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties
WHEN...400 PM Monday July 06 to 400 PM Tuesday July 07
IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front
Range Urban Corridor. Hot and smoky weather conditions will
result in ozone concentrations reaching the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups category Monday afternoon and evening, with
Unhealthy levels of ozone possible in northern and western parts
of the Denver metro area. Additionally, particle pollution is
elevated due to wildfire smoke. Ozone could reach the Unhealthy
for Sensitive Groups category again Tuesday afternoon and evening.

If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting
driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m.

HEALTH INFORMATION...Greater likelihood of respiratory symptoms
and breathing difficulty in active children and adults and people
with lung disease, such as asthma; possible respiratory effects in
general population. People with heart or lung disease, older
adults, and children should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion.
Everyone else should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion.
