* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex, New Haven and New London. * WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 543 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Haven, New London, Guilford, Clinton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Chester, Hamden, Branford, North Haven, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, North Branford, Old Lyme, Westbrook, Killingworth, Lyme, Gales Ferry and North Madison. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
