At 913 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southwest of Newberry County Airport, or 7 miles west of Newberry, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Whitmire, Prosperity, Jenkinsville, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport, Blair, Lake Greenwood, Little Mountain, Pomaria, Silverstreet, Peak, US- 176 and SC- 34 Crossroads, Henderson Island, Belfast Wildlife Management Area, Chappells Fire Station, Enoree Ranger District Office, Stoney Hill, and Newberry County Detention Center. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 62 and 87.
