On the night of July 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) struck 53 military targets belonging to the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily seized Ukrainian territories.

According to Ukrinform, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, announced this on Facebook.

“Crimea’s power switch is off: On July 8, a key point where electricity enters Crimea from Russia, five power substations, a training ground, and three radar stations were struck,” Brovdi noted.

As the USF commander explained, this refers to “the strike on July 8 against a key facility receiving electricity via the Kuban-Crimea power bridge, which serves as the entry point from the Russian mainland to the occupied peninsula. The power bridge is 14.5 km long and consists of four underwater cable lines. The damaged PP-2 “Crimea” transfer station receives these underwater cables and connects them to overhead power lines.”

According to Brovdi, between July 1 and 8, the USF struck 50 power facilities in Crimea and the southern part of the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia.

Among the targets were:

  • the “Kuban–Crimea” power transmission station in Glazivka (Crimea), struck by fighters from the USF’s 412th Separate Brigade “Nemesis”;
  • the “Nizhnegorsk” power substation (Crimea), struck by fighters of the 9th “Kairos” Battalion of the 414th USF Brigade “Birds of Magyar”;
  • the “Nasosna 3” substation in Zelenyi Yar (Crimea), struck by fighters of the 9th “Kairos” Battalion;
  • the Novotroitske power substation (Crimea), struck by the “Phoenix” Main Department of Unmanned Aerial Systems;
  • the Kalynove and Troitske power substations in Luhansk region, struck by fighters of the 20th “K-2” Brigade.

Among the air defense assets struck were:

  • the 1RL131 P-18 radar station in Zelenyi Yar, Donetsk region, struck by fighters from the 6th Battalion of the 414th Separate Brigade of the Special Forces “Magyar’s Birds”;
  • the 1RL131 P-18 radar station in Starodubivka, Donetsk region, destroyed by fighters from Detachment “13” of the 414th Brigade “Magyar’s Birds”;
  • The 1L22 “Parol-4” radar station in Starodubivka, Donetsk region, was destroyed by fighters from the 6th Battalion of the 414th Brigade “Magyar’s Birds.”

In addition, the following targets were struck: the repair base of the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Tank Army in Pysarivka, Luhansk Oblast, struck by fighters of the 20th Separate Brigade “K-2”; the “Hvardiiskyi” training ground in Oleksandrivka, Kherson region, was struck by 413 fighters from the “Raid” Separate USF Regiment.

As reported by the commander of the Special Forces, “Overnight, within the occupier’s operational depth in Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily occupied territories, Special Forces drones struck 53 military targets.

All targets were struck under the coordination of the newly established Center for Deep Strike of the Unmanned Systems Forces.”

As reported by Ukrinform, operators from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck more than 360 Russian fuel tankers and heavy transport vehicles along the land corridor to the temporarily occupied Crimea over the course of one week.
