The areas affected include... S of Cape Hatteras NC to Ocracoke Inlet NC out to 20 NM... S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM... Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM... At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 nm north of Hatteras Village to 7 nm southeast of Swanquarter, moving southeast at 10 knots.
