Security Council, 10190th Meeting (AM & PM) Women, Peace and Security

The Security Council will hold a day-long open debate on women and peace and security titled "honoring the promise of international law to survivors of conflict-related sexual violence". One of the signature events of the presidency of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, it will be chaired by the Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka. Ambassador Mukongo Ngay has prepared a concept note S/2026/545 for the debate. UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten and one or more civil society representatives are expected to brief.
