Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants, organisers, and guests of the 16th Elena Obraztsova International Competition for Young Opera Singers.
The message reads, in part:
“This remarkable project, conceived and founded by USSR People’s Artist Elena Obraztsova, has for many years been a major and eagerly anticipated event in the cultural life of Russia and many other countries, helping to preserve, promote, and develop the great traditions of Russian and international opera. It also provides young performers with an outstanding opportunity to fully showcase their talent and artistry, taking their first steps towards professional success and public recognition.
I am confident that this year’s competition will be a true celebration for both participants and audiences, leaving them with vivid and lasting impressions. Of course, it will help preserve and carry forward the rich artistic legacy of the outstanding singer, teacher, and mentor Elena Obraztsova.”
