At 521 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Rochester, or near Springfield, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Springfield, Sherman, Rochester, Riverton, Mechanicsburg, Dawson, Buffalo, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, Southern View, Leland Grove, Grandview, Spaulding, and Clear Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 55 between mile markers 94 and 107. Interstate 72 between mile markers 100 and 117.
