SVRGLD The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southern Cheyenne County in northwestern Kansas... Sherman County in northwestern Kansas... * Until 815 PM MDT/915 PM CDT/. * At 725 PM MDT/825 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 miles south of St. Francis to 3 miles northwest of Ruleton, moving southeast at 30 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR northwestern Sherman County and southern Cheyenne counties. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Automated station reported a 79 MPH wind gust in northwestern Sherman County IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. * Severe thunderstorms will be near... Ruleton around 730 PM MDT. Goodland around 740 PM MDT. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 8 and 30.
