Illinois River at Peoria affecting Peoria, Woodford and Tazewell Counties. Illinois River at Beardstown affecting Cass, Morgan, Schuyler and Brown Counties. .The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at Peoria. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Some flooding begins to bottomland not protected by levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Friday was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 14.9 feet Friday, July 17. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
