Upper Iowa River at Bluffton affecting Winneshiek County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Upper Iowa River at Bluffton. * WHEN...From this morning to this evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, River is significantly outside of its banks impacting both Bluffton Canoe Landings. Campgrounds along the river in Bluffton are underwater. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM CDT Friday was 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.4 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.6 feet on 08/29/2021. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
