The areas affected include... Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal out 20 nm... Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and beyond 5 fathoms... Gulf of America from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal out to 5 fathoms... At 324 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Cottrell Key to Western Dry Rocks, moving northwest at 20 knots. Locations that will be affected include... Marquesas Keys, Western Dry Rocks, Boca Grande, Northwest Channel Buoy 1, Cottrell Key, Smith Shoal Light, and Ellis Rock Light.
