Northwestern Gaston County in the Piedmont of North Carolina... Southeastern Burke County in western North Carolina... * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 632 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles south of Morganton to 12 miles northeast of Rutherfordton to near Forest City, moving east at 35 mph.
