SMWTBW The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Tampa Bay waters... * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 609 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 14 nm southeast of Hillsborough Bay to Siesta Key, moving northwest at 15 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. * Locations impacted include... Terra Ceia Bay, Gandy Bridge, Old Tampa Bay, Howard Frankland Bridge, Egmont Key, Cockroach Bay, Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Courtney Campbell Causeway, Anna Maria Island, Southwest Channel, Port Manatee Reef, Tampa Bay, Hillsborough Bay, Johns Pass, Passage Key Inlet, and Longboat Key.
