Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the second Russia and the World: Trends in Healthy Longevity Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“It is gratifying that the Forum is becoming a tradition, once again bringing together prominent scientists, physicians, public figures, and experts in medicine and healthcare, as well as food producers from different regions of the country. You will continue a direct, substantive conversation on a wide range of issues relating to the preservation and strengthening of people’s health, the improvement of the quality and duration of their lives, and the enhancement of the demographic situation.
These ambitious tasks require the consolidation of efforts by the state, civil society institutions, business, and research teams, as well as the involvement of cultural institutions, the media, and citizens in this important work. The Strategy for Healthcare Development in the Russian Federation until 2030, approved in December of last year, supports the achievement of these vital goals.
I am confident that the Forum would proceed in a businesslike, constructive atmosphere, and that its international format, practical focus, and exchange of best practices would contribute to the promotion of the values of a healthy lifestyle and active longevity.”
