At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Reidsville, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Durham, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Graham, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Carrboro, Mebane, Butner, and Elon. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 163 and 194. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 137 and 162, and between Mile Markers 259 and 280. the Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 5 and 17.
