At 540 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 25 NM southeast of Rock Island to 6 NM southeast of Jacksonport, or along a line from 23 NM southeast of Detroit Island to 7 NM northeast of Whitefish Point, moving south at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Marine weather observations. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
