* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Fairfield County in central South Carolina... Newberry County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1030 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Whitmire, Blair, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport, Monticello, Pomaria, US-176 and SC-34 Crossroads, Maybington Fire Station, Enoree Ranger District Office, Henderson Island, Newberry County Detention Center, Bush River Fire Station, Feasterville Fire Station and Belfast Wildlife Management Area. - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 62 and 84. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood…
