A promotion event for Volume V of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was held on Monday in Bishkek, bringing together around 300 representatives from political parties, media organizations, think tanks and other sectors.
Participants said the discussions on President Xi Jinping's latest book are significant for deepening mutual understanding and exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan, as well as among Shanghai Cooperation Organization members, especially as the event comes as the SCO marks its 25th anniversary.
The book offers a comprehensive explanation of the theory and practice of Chinese modernization and presents China's vision and proposals for building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Former Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva said the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, proposed by President Xi Jinping, has gained global influence.
She said high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has created new development opportunities for Kyrgyzstan and helped the country become an increasingly important hub connecting Eurasia.
Otunbayeva said building roads is essential for connectivity. "But no less important is building roads of trust through books, education, culture, academic exchanges, and people-to-people ties," she added.
