Nueces River Near Asherton affecting Dimmit County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Nueces River at Laguna. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Major flooding reaches recreation camps between Camp Wood and Uvalde. Secondary and primary roads and bridges and can be life threatening. Livestock should be moved from flood prone areas of the flood plain from the headwaters to Crystal City. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Thursday was 17.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.6 feet this afternoon.
