Organized by China Media Group and designated in partnership with the China Film Group, the 2026 FIFA World Cup Theater Screening Event is in full swing across China – and Guangdong stands out as a prominent highlight.
As the province with the largest number of participating cities and the most vibrant viewing atmosphere nationwide, Guangdong has launched coordinated screenings across six cities: Foshan, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Shaoguan, Zhaoqing and Yangjiang.
Nearly 20 cities across the country have joined this national initiative, drawing local football fans of all ages – including many teenagers enjoying their summer vacation – to share the excitement of watching World Cup matches on the big screen.
