The head of state said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"A meeting with Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi. The new Government has already held its first meeting, and today we discussed the steps to be taken in the near future, as well as our work with Ukraine's partners to implement the agreements reached on supporting Ukraine. The Prime Minister has begun preparing the Government's program, which will be presented to the public and to MPs," Zelensky said.
According to him, the approach to governance will be as pragmatic as possible: personal responsibility of each minister and all heads of central executive bodies for implementing the tasks identified as priorities. The President stressed that the new Prime Minister has full opportunity to form such a government policy and such a team of central executive authorities that will be able to strengthen our state with additional force.

He stressed that the critical priority of the new government is preparation for the heating season. "In particular, Sergii reported that Naftogaz’s independent Supervisory Board had agreed to appoint Sergii Fedorenko to lead the company for a fixed term. He is a highly qualified professional who went through Ukrnafta’s transformation alongside Sergii Koretskyi. It was a successful process of cleansing all the company’s internal operations of marauding oligarchic influence, and as a result, Ukrnafta became one of the most profitable state-owned companies," Zelensky said.
He also noted that work is currently ongoing around the clock to restore energy infrastructure after Russian strikes. "Today, the Russians again attacked Naftogaz facilities – unfortunately, there is significant damage. The Prime Minister and I discussed the steps needed under these circumstances. It is important that, despite the ongoing Russian attacks, we implement everything we agreed on to prepare for the winter," the head of state concluded.
As reported, on July 16 the Verkhovna Rada supported the President's submission to appoint Sergii Koretskyi as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
