Flash Flood Warning issued July 17 at 3:22PM MST until July 17 at 6:00PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ

At 322 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of the Tucson Metro, extending from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base westward across the south side of Tucson. An automated rain gauge at the Tucson Electric Power Power just west of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base has recorded 1.81 inches in the last hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
