At 932 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Goldston, or 9 miles west of Sanford, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Sanford, Pittsboro, Lillington, Carthage, Wake Forest, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 273 and 327.
