Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration released the update on Telegram, according to Ukrinfrom.
"As of now, the death of a 16-year-old boy has, unfortunately, been confirmed. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Twelve other people were injured, including a two-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl," Kiper said.
According to Kiper, 10 of the injured remain hospitalized, with doctors describing the condition of four as serious. The two-year-old child has been diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.
Search and rescue operations at the site have been completed. Emergency crews continue clearing the aftermath of the strike, while law enforcement officers are documenting another Russian war crime against civilians.
"This strike on a recreational area where civilians and children were present once again demonstrates the true nature of Russian terror," Kiper said.
As previously reported, Russian forces launched a missile strike on an amusement park in the Odesa region on July 18. Earlier reports had indicated that two people were killed and four others injured.
