...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE COTTONWOOD BURN SCAR IN BEAVER COUNTY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL BEAVER COUNTY... At 316 PM MDT, In addition to the Beaver River debris flow, an additional debris flow will be moving through North Creek area imminently. Move to higher ground now!...A large debris flow has over topped the diversion dam in Beaver Canyon, and continues to move down HW 153 in lower Beaver Canyon. Several additional debris flow waves are forthcoming on the Beaver River. Debris flow waves are expected to come in pulses as this debris flow continues downstream into the Grove area of Beaver City, with the initial wave reaching there imminently. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen over the majority of basins in the Beaver Canyon area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar has resulted in debris flows moving through the Beaver River system downstream to the Grove area of Beaver City, and the South Fork of North Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Beaver City...specifically the Grove area. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Beaver County. A very large debris flow is moving down the Beaver River now!
