Southwestern Piute County in central Utah... * Until 1015 PM MDT. * At 716 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Cottonwood burn scar in Piute County. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through City Creek, Ten Mile Creek, and may develop in Cottonwood Creek if the storm moves into that drainage. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
