A ridge breakdown will first bring a threat for thunderstorms across portions of central and north-central Washington today and tonight. Drier weather arrives Friday and Saturday, though winds will become increasingly gusty with critical fire weather conditions likely. * Affected Area: Lower Palouse -Snake River (Zone 709). * Lightning: 20 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday afternoon. Gusty and erratic outflow winds up to 55 mph possible in any thunderstorms Thursday. * Winds: Saturday afternoon winds - West/Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Relative Humidities: 14 to 28 percent Saturday. * Impacts: New fire starts from lightning Thursday.
