Suwanee Creek at Suwanee affecting Gwinnett County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Suwanee Creek at Suwanee. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Minor flooding expands along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage at U S Highway 23 or Buford Highway. Most of the Suwanee Creek Greenway and trails are flooded from the Suwanee Creek Park to George Pierce Park. The minor flooding will also begin to affect portions of the playground area behind the Suwanee Elementary School. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM EDT Friday the stage was 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 9.0 feet this evening.
