Marine Weather Statement issued July 27 at 5:55AM EDT by NWS Key West FL

Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms will continue to impact the Florida Keys coastal waters for the next few hours. Most of the activity is across the Straits of Florida and the nearshore waters just off the Lower Keys, specifically Key West and Stock Island. Additional activity is moving into the SE Gulf waters as all the activity slowly moves off to the south to southeast between 5 to 10 knots. Any activity will be capable of producing wind gusts to near 30 knots, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, and reduced visibility in heavy downpours.…
